The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Charles Arizechukwu Igwe of soil science department, has joined the league of professors who have worked hard to inform colleagues in the University and the general public, about their research career; and update all, on their current and future research directions through Inaugural lectures.

The 135th Inaugural lecture was delivered on Thursday May 24,2018 on the topic,"Unfolding Soil Erosion in South Eastern Nigeria:From Models To Aggregation and Colloidal Materials".

In his lecture, Prof Igwe said that he found the area of erodibility as his area of interest because of the intricate nature of our soils. He said that there is need to deal with soil erosion in order to plan for the conservation of our soils.
